Our Story

A Safe Place for Meow Inc. is a not-for-profit cat rescue in the Northern Territory, run entirely by volunteers. We serve Darwin, Palmerston, and surrounding areas, providing a safe haven for stray, abandoned, and rescued cats.
Our Palmerston shelter operates by appointment, ensuring each cat gets the care and attention they deserve. We specialize in cat rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming, offering essential medical care, including vaccinations, desexing, and microchipping.
By fostering and rehoming rescue cats, we reduce overpopulation, protect local wildlife, and give these loving felines a second chance at a happy life.
